Thunderpants organic cotton and spandex fabric is super stretchy, comfy and easy-fit. There’s no nasty, scratchy elastic that digs in. They are the ultimate comfy, easy-fit undie.
The flat fronted original, hipster and sky rise styles all have the same fit through the leg and butt varying in height. The hipster is low waisted, the original sits around the navel and the sky rise is high waisted.
The flat fronted boxer is a hipster fit with a short boy leg.
See the size guide below to help you choose the right size. If you happen to fall between the measurements, don’t panic! We recommend going up rather than down a size.....they will last longer and be more comfortable if not stretched too far.
The swimwear also follows this standard New Zealand sizing.
This chart includes all styles in the adult range that are not a pouch front but does not include the Cotton Drill A line skirts whose size chart is included in the product description.

Flat Fronted Hipster vs Original/Sky Rise?
These styles are exactly the same in every way except the hipster is shorter in the waist than the original or sky rise. Those of us that have a bit of a tummy roll may wish to choose the original or sky high style as they cover the tummy.
Pouch fronted Boxer vs Brief?
The pouch front boxer is the closer fit option. If you like everything snug with a fitted boxer leg then opt for the boxer. For those that prefer a looser fit, stick with the brief.

What about the kids?
This guide is based on many years of Thunderpants sales. As all children are different we suggest you go with your own intuition a little here. Thunderpants are very accommodating and tend to grow with your child so some children will wear their small undies well into the medium size range. Remember when your child outgrows the children's range they can move into the smaller adults sizes.

How useful will this be.... long sleeves, soft organic Thunderpants fabric and plain black!
This tee has shaping through the body giving it hips and curves. Check the length measurements to see wear it will finish on you. If you don't want to wear it fitted we recommend sizing up.
NB: The fit shot is striped because black doesn't photograph well, the garment is black.

The Thunderpants long sleeve tees are great on their own or layered a under a sleeveless tunic to give some extra warm arm action! They are made in the same super comfy way the Thunderpants are. We suggest you buy the same size as your undies for a regular shapely fit, go up a size if you like it loose or down a size if you want to layer under something else.

The Thunderpants fabric is 90% cotton and 10% spandex to give it that super comfy, soft stretchy feel.All the garments are made locally and lovingly in New Zealand.

To preserve the vibrant colours and life of the fabric we suggest you do not soak or bleach your Thunderpants items. Use a gentle detergent in a cold machine wash and dry your Thunderpants on the line, not in the drier.
Your Thunderpants are not only super comfy but they are designed to withstand some pretty staunch stuff, so get into them and get on out there!

My wife and I both adore these shirts. The fabric is thick, has a nice weight to it and the sort of quality you expect from Thundepants. This is a perfect wardrobe staple in black that looks good with almost anything. After we bought the first one, we turned around and bought a second! I only wish they came in more colors and prints.

I couldn’t get the eye print in tights so I got it in the top instead! Looking forward to going out with my daughter with our matching clothes (she has the eye leggings). I love that thunderpants has different and original clothing, is super comfortable and is made in NZ!

Thick, high-quality top, fits true to size. Has already become part of my regular rotation. Very flattering shape, cut to fit an actual body and not a box. Long enough to tuck and keep my kidneys warm.
Not sure i like the fabric or the cut on me. I Kay be between sizes. Perhaps as the weather warms up i might wear it more. Merino is my textile of choice right now. However, i adore the crop/ bra. I will buy another one. I love your knickers and bras but the larger items such as the singlet and this bike top are not such comfortable fabrics .. they feel a bit ‘close’ and heavy if that makes sense?

Love the candy strip + looks great wearing with pinafore dresses + dungarees. Only criticism is that they are quite large sizes, went down a size from crop top size but still very long in body + sleeves. Easy to exchange sizes though and staff great to deal with

Best Cotton Ever This is the best cotton top I have ever worn. The cotton is thick and of high quality and the spandex is just enough to hold the shape but not be too tight. The colour stays black and hasn't faded and it washes well with no shrinkage. The length was just right for me. Please please Thunderpants make these in some other solid colours eg Navy, Red. Thank you heaps.

My favourite winter top Love, love, love these tops. Fabric is warm yet soft and washes well, no shrinkage. Black has stayed black. Fabric quality is awesome. The other best feature is that I am not a slim girl. Big bust and shoulders, I normally wear a size 16 and the XL is perfect for me with some room as I don't like tight tops. Can we please see some more solid colours ? in the blue variety for me ....
