Where can I buy your products?
Only online as of April 1st 2018.

What happens if my undies fall down on me?
We’re all shaped differently so the original style may suit you better or try the next size down.

Why do you not have a men's or a women's range?
We prefer to be inclusive and opt for a non gendered approach to our garment names and  descriptions. Our products are described by fit and what sort of anatomy they need to accommodate. ie: our flat fronted range was previously called "women" and our pouch fronted was previously called "men". Are Thunderpants boy leg?
The original and hipster flat fronted styles plus the original pouch front are designed to sit in the natural crease of your leg, not below it. The flat fronted fitted boxer is a short boyleg. The pouch fronted boxer has a short leg.

Should I choose hipster or original?
The Original flat front sits just below the belly button whilst the Hipster sits much lower….on the hips! The Boxer is for those who prefer a snug fit. The Skyrise for those who like them to sit high on the waist.

What age do the kids undies fit?
Small 2 - 4 years
Medium 5 - 7 years
Large 8 - 10 years

What happens if I fall between sizes?
That’s why we make Thunderpants with a decent amount of stretch so we can accommodate all sizes and shapes.  If they are too big or you like a snugger fit, try a size down. If you prefer a looser fit, try a size up.

Do you make anything other than undies?
Yes we do. Our Swimwear and Activewear are Thunderpants staples and we are always adding to the range.

Does your fabric need any special care?
Thunderpants fabric is machine washable but be sure to use cold water, no bleach and line dry.

How soon will I get my order?
Within New Zealand 1 - 3 days from your despatch email.
Outside of NZ please check our shipping information for more detailed delivery estimates.

Why can I not order the size I want in some of your prints?
Some sizes are more popular than others and occasionally will sell out. We always aim to get everything back on-line as soon as we can. This can also happen when a print is at the end of its run so in this case it is first in, best-dressed!

How much does freight cost?
Freight within New Zealand costs a flat rate of $8 no matter how much you order or where you are. For the rest of the world, freight is charged by weight so will depend on how much you order and where you live.

Are the garments made in New Zealand?
Yes, we take great pride in the fact that Thunderpants are NZ made. The fabric is either printed in Auckland or at HQ in Martinborough and then they are sewn in Carterton. We try to keep all of our production as local as we can possibly make it.

If I order other items in the future will the colours match?
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee patterns or colours will match.  What makes our product unique is that each is bespoke and essentially one of a kind.

How do I place an order?
You can order online here, email or telephone us.  We can accept Visa, Mastercard or internet banking. Please note that if you choose to place a phone order no discount codes will be applied. It is the responsiblity of the customer to ensure all details are correct once they receive their order confirmation email. We cannot be held responsible for incorrect address or other information.

Is it safe to input my credit card details onto your site?
Yes, absolutely.  Shopify is certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant. This compliance extends to all online stores powered by Shopify. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is an information security standard for organizations that handle credit card and debit card information.

What if I make a mistake, or want to change my order?
Please see refunds and exchanges. Please note we cannot exchange or refund any item that is not in ‘mint’ condition ie. unworn, unwashed and with it’s original packaging.

How accurate is the colour reproduction of the images on your site?
We try to make the colour representation as close as possible but colours on screen can vary between computers.

What’s your privacy policy?
Please see our section on privacy, it must be read in conjunction with our terms and conditions.

Can I use more than one discount code?
Only one discount code can be used per order so it is the customers prerogative which will be of the most benefit.

What can I do with worn out Thunderpants?
We are often asked for ideas of what to do with Thunderpants when they are past their best, holey and stretched ( it does happen eventually ). 

  • Save up a few and use as mulch around trees etc 
  • Cut into strips and use as ties in the garden
  • Remove the gusset and use as cleaning cloths and general rags around the house 
  • Also great for crafting, stuffing toys and a myriad of other things!
Just remember that our fabric does contain 10% spandex so be aware of where you are mulching.....nowhere near waterways please.

 
Can I buy in other currencies?
Thunderpants is a NZ based company so all orders are processed in NZD. You can view your order in some other currencies.
