Thunderpants organic cotton and spandex fabric is super stretchy, comfy and easy-fit. There’s no nasty, scratchy elastic that digs in. They are the ultimate comfy, easy-fit undie.
The flat fronted original, hipster and sky rise styles all have the same fit through the leg and butt varying in height. The hipster is low waisted, the original sits around the navel and the sky rise is high waisted.
The flat fronted boxer is a hipster fit with a short boy leg.
See the size guide below to help you choose the right size. If you happen to fall between the measurements, don’t panic! We recommend going up rather than down a size.....they will last longer and be more comfortable if not stretched too far.
The swimwear also follows this standard New Zealand sizing.
This chart includes all styles in the adult range that are not a pouch front but does not include the Cotton Drill A line skirts whose size chart is included in the product description.

Flat Fronted Hipster vs Original/Sky Rise?
These styles are exactly the same in every way except the hipster is shorter in the waist than the original or sky rise. Those of us that have a bit of a tummy roll may wish to choose the original or sky high style as they cover the tummy.
Pouch fronted Boxer vs Brief?
The pouch front boxer is the closer fit option. If you like everything snug with a fitted boxer leg then opt for the boxer. For those that prefer a looser fit, stick with the brief.

What about the kids?
This guide is based on many years of Thunderpants sales. As all children are different we suggest you go with your own intuition a little here. Thunderpants are very accommodating and tend to grow with your child so some children will wear their small undies well into the medium size range. Remember when your child outgrows the children's range they can move into the smaller adults sizes.

We have been asked by many for a plain vanilla crop top - so we have made one and here it is !
THESE CROPS HAVE HAD A FEW PATTERN TWEAKS. MOSTLY RELATED TO STRAP LENGTH. THESE WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE IN 2XL. THERE IS A NEW CROP COMING THAT WILL BE BETTER FOR LARGER SIZES.
The Original Crop Top is a nice soft single layered garment for soft boob wrangling or smooth nipple covering. Because of it's construction it is soft on the shoulders and only provides gentle support for smaller to medium cup sizes. Great for everyday wear but not designed for playing squash or competitive basketball.

Thunderpants crop tops are super comfy, just like the Thunderpants. They use the same banding technique as the undies so make a great set. Cut for modesty and keeping everything contained however they don't provide a lot of support for activity for bigger boobs.

The Thunderpants fabric is 90% cotton and 10% spandex to give it that super comfy, soft stretchy feel. Unlike the underpants, the crop top needs the help of a bit of elastic to avoid any underwear malfunctions when dancing or suchlike, so we have added some wrapped in the same super comfy fabric under bust. All the garments are made locally and lovingly in New Zealand.

To preserve the vibrant colours and life of the fabric we suggest you do not soak or bleach your Thunderpants items. Use a gentle detergent in a cold machine wash and dry your Thunderpants Crop Top on the line, not in the drier.
Your Thunderpants items are not only super comfy but they are designed to withstand some pretty staunch stuff, so get into them and get out there!

So comfortable to wear and such a useful base colour 🤍
Just a month ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer, which was followed by a mastectomy. I am so happy to have found thunderpants, for such a genuine comfortable crop top which is a perfect fit for a one breast person. I’m not into prosthesis, preferring a lopsided look, your bras are perfect for me. Thanks a million

I love the crop top for its cotton content, total comfort & easy fit. I have always battled with bras since 13 years old. Now that I am retired I prefer to buy for comfort & this is the first one I have worn. I'm stoked that there are matching knickers & shorts. I live on the beach in Christchurch so I now feel confident to wear my thundies on the beach & to take a quick dip in the surf. I didn't expect to wear a bikini again at my age 😊 Thanks TP
I love the style and fit of these crops, and have bought several over the years. They are so comfy and cute. However... they simply don't last like the briefs do. I find that after a while the fabric under the arms starts to pucker and lose shape. I'd understand if I were wearing them everyday, but they're in rotation with my other bras etc... surprising for what otherwise seems to be a high quality product.

The armholes is usually the first place the crops will give in, there is no added elastic in the straps making them lovely and soft to wear, but means they will stretch out over a long time. Was in need of replenishing my underwear stocks - I had a pair of Thundies I treasured as a kid - didn't think I'd ever rekindle my love with them, but they truly are comfy and they makes me feel flattered too. New undies for a new mum -they have gone a long way for my confidence, am very happy. My only wish is that there was feeding bras/crops... I still find it easy enough to breastfeed in my crop but feeding bras could be a pretty cool edition to an already awesome range :) thank you!!

It didn't fit my body.
Full disclosure, I had recent breast surgery and had to wear a bra 24/7 for a whole month. This crop gave me the best support, so comfortable and a plus that it's super cute. I did change it out though, for my other Thunderpants crops!
I love my thunderpants crop tops. I have 4 and wear them continuously. Comfortable, easy fit, no nasty wires. My boobs are held comfortably without squashing. Highly recommended
There is something wrong with the stitching - a small, sharp bit on the left side that is a constant irritant on the skin, so I have only worn it once. I will have to pinpoint and cover it with another piece of fabric. Disappointing because I have bought lots of Thunderpants items and not had a negative experience before.

I have a crooked spine and normal bras are no good and so the crop top is great but I would prefer a more racer back to stop one strap falling off shoulder🤣🤣🤣no biggey
