Doggy Snood
Thunderpants organic cotton and spandex fabric is super stretchy, comfy and easy-fit. There’s no nasty, scratchy elastic that digs in. They are the ultimate comfy, easy-fit undie.
The flat fronted original, hipster and sky rise styles all have the same fit through the leg and butt varying in height. The hipster is low waisted, the original sits around the navel and the sky rise is high waisted.
The flat fronted boxer is a hipster fit with a short boy leg.
See the size guide below to help you choose the right size. If you happen to fall between the measurements, don’t panic! We recommend going up rather than down a size.....they will last longer and be more comfortable if not stretched too far.
The swimwear also follows this standard New Zealand sizing.
This chart includes all styles in the adult range that are not a pouch front but does not include the Cotton Drill A line skirts whose size chart is included in the product description.

Flat Fronted Hipster vs Original/Sky Rise?
These styles are exactly the same in every way except the hipster is shorter in the waist than the original or sky rise. Those of us that have a bit of a tummy roll may wish to choose the original or sky high style as they cover the tummy.
Pouch fronted Boxer vs Brief?
The pouch front boxer is the closer fit option. If you like everything snug with a fitted boxer leg then opt for the boxer. For those that prefer a looser fit, stick with the brief.

Some of our Thunderdogs get a bit overwhelmed by life & loud noises. So we have made a Snood to quiet the world a bit for them.
Small : Approx 26cm circumference at face, 44cm at chest end & 26cm long.
Medium : Approx 34cm circumference at face, 52cm at chest end & 32cm long.
Large : Approx 42cm circumference at face, 60cm at chest end & 38cm long.
Our canine models pictured here are all wearing the sample Snoods:
- Tiki, small sturdy foxy, 7 kgs, small fits her perfectly and she loves it.
- Dublin, poodle x papillion, 9 kgs, small fits him snuggly & medium loosely but he hates them both & anything else that touches his ears. NB: small will be 6 cm shorter than sample.
- Malo, medium height and stocky with a big head & small ears, 27 kgs, medium fits her snuggly and she loves it. Large also fits her but she seems to enjoy the pressure of the medium.
- Bushy, border collie 27 kgs, very pretty with fluffy trousers. Large fits with plenty or room and she likes it. Doesn't like the medium as it squishes her very furry ears.
- Boo, med-tall frame mix breed with average sized head, 30 kgs. Large fits him perfectly. He wore it during a storm and worked a treat.
- Pebbles, Labrador x neo mastiff with a massive head 45kgs, (no photos as sadly she is no longer with us). Tested an earlier version of the large. It fitted well and she loved it.
These are made in our workroom in Martinborough on home sewing machines, not in a factory & not by lifetime sewing professionals. If they are popular and the dogs love them we may change that. We just want to get these to your dog for Guy Fawkes season if they need one.
