The Pohutukawa is often referred to as the New Zealand native Christmas tree because it has vibrant red flowers that are at their peak mid to late December. This Pohutukawa design is from an original linoprint by Australian artist Neil Mattila. Neil very kindly donated his fee to Project Crimson who over the last 26 years have been replanting Pohutukawa and its closely related cousin Rata, along with many other native trees throughout New Zealand.
'The Pohutukawa design was inspired by a visit to the North Island of New Zealand. I explore print making through the mediums of intaglio etching, vinyl-linocut prints, monotype prints, pastels and watercolours. The inspiration for my designs comes from my observations and travels.'
Thunderpants - Making Christmas undies more interesting since 1995.
The womens cami is cut with nice wide straps to cover your bra. This is a lovely modest , camisole in our super comfy organic cotton / spandex. You can wear this on its own as a top or team up with some matching Thunderpants for a nice set especially comfy to wear to bed or for lounging about in. You should be okay to order the same size as your Thunderpants but you know your body a lot better than we do so perhaps your top and bottom halves are quite different sizes to each other ? Check the size chart if you are in any doubt.
measuring from the shoulder to the hem the approximate lengths are as follows:
small 60cm , medium 62cm , large 64cm , x large 66cm , xx large 68cm
The Thunderpants fabric is 90% organically grown cotton and 10% spandex to give it that super comfy, soft stretchy feel. The waist and leg bands are constructed in the same, lovely fabric eliminating the need for the addition of nasty, grippy elastic and adding to the enjoyment of your Thunderpants experience. All the garments are made locally and lovingly in New Zealand.
To preserve the vibrant colours and life of the fabric we suggest you do not soak or bleach your Thunderpants items. Use a gentle detergent in a cold machine wash and dry your Thunderpants on the line, not in the drier.
Your Thunderpants are not only super comfy but they are designed to withstand some pretty staunch stuff, so get into them and get on out there!
